A Wedding Planner’s Dreams

Dear Friends,

Beautiful Gathering is a chapter in my life that I am about to close. I want to end it beautifully, to tie a ribbon on it all.

It’s time for me to give back.

I want to give the entire business away, for free. Many wonderful people have helped me along the way to realise this dream of mine and I don't want their efforts to go to waste.

They are many names that come to mind like Jessica Claire Chew, Tan Wei Wei, Leana, Norman Teh, Ilina Ye, Wilson Chua, Jeremy Long, Rubina, Andri Tei, Ivan Tan, Ly Leow, Sarah, Joanne and the list goes on.

The world is cynical with people who are more concerned with  the “I”. Yet, I always believe in creating magic and miracles. I hope the chosen candidate will be able to carry this along with them.

Things you should know:

1) It’s free!
2) Application closes on 30th June 2017.
3) All are welcome to apply!
4) Selected candidates will get to own the Beautiful Gatherings brand, website, portfolio and mentoring and coaching from me and my wedding planner friends and me.
5) When you are ready to give, you do the same for others.
6) Everyone who applies, whether you are chosen or not, will be invited to have a Google Hangout call with me. You can ask me anything!

Feature on Wedding Scoop – Romance in the Train Station

wedding

Tanjong Pagar Railway Station reflects a certain kind of lost grandeur. Left on its own, rust has crept in, and vines and cobwebs adorn the whitewashed building. Yet, there is no denying the old-world charm it exudes. Stepping into its hallowed halls is like getting a secret glimpse into its once grand past. A place defined by the passage of time, we found it the perfect backdrop to narrate the story of this railway romance.

Feature on Wedding Scoop – Ombre of pinks

002-Pink_Wedding_Singapore
Often, I dream of a colour and let it inspire me. The soft shade of powder pink that makes one think of lush kisses and the blush of young love – I wanted to convey these through images.

Sarah from Poppy Flora Studio and I imagined this graceful and refined shoot inspired by hues of pink. We went through a long creative process researching high quality vendors who could accurately portray our concept through styling and attention to the little details. We opted for a colour palette of shades of dusty red and light pink with touches of white for flowers and grey for dresses. The talented Emily of bespoke stationer Paper Tiger Press designed an invitation suite in shades of pink using watercolour and calligraphy.

Pink linen was used as ribbons for the unstructured bouquet, in which the colours of the scabiosas, alstroemerias and peonies, perfectly combined with the feathery texture of the astilbes. Sarah, the skilful floral designer of Poppy Flora Studio, styled the centerpiece with flowers in the clear holder, which was complemented by gorgeous tableware.
